Garden Shed

A garden shed is a very helpful addition for anyone serious about maintaining an attractive lawn or garden. Before building such an addition, double check whether or not planning permission requirements. In some situations, there are restrictions on size and how near it can be to a home or other boundary.

If you are creating a garden shed from scratch, be sure to have it well-planned. On one hand, it is not desirable for it to be an eye-sore. On the other, keeping it too far out of the way may encourage you to allow it to fall into a state of neglect. In some situations, it is easier to incorporate two smaller designs into a lawn or garden as opposed to one large one.

An older garden shed can also be spruced up for improvement.  For a grander appearance, consider surrounding it with a hedge of mid-wall height. Arches and arbors are great choices for making structures fit together more harmoniously. Brighter colors encourage the shed to stand out while more neutral colors will help it blend into the background.
